Hi! My name is Yasmeen. I am a recent graduate of the University of Missouri's J-School, where I specialized in Writing and Reporting. I am currently in Mexico, completing a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship until May 2026.
My work
While at the University of Missouri, I served as an Assistant City Editor for K-12 Education/Youth at the Columbia Missourian. Before transitioning to an editor position, I was a K-12 Education/Youth reporter. I have also interned at the Investigative Project on Race and Equity in Chicago, the IndyStar, Oklahoma Watch, The Wire India and the Daily Yonder. Here are a few of my clips.
